Switch with a way back.
Bring your AppFolio history and your QuickBooks books into A4. Preview each import, check what loaded, and roll it back if it isn’t right.
How a switch works.
- 1
Upload your exports
Your AppFolio exports, and your QuickBooks Journal report or IIF file. Incoming files are sorted first: screening and credit reports can be held or blocked before anything reads them.
- 2
Preview before anything loads
A4 shows what it found and what it would create: properties, units, tenants, leases, charges, balances, insurance and rental applications. For QuickBooks, a dry run lists missing accounts, unmapped classes and entries that don’t balance, before anything posts.
- 3
Import and reconcile
Run the import and review a reconciliation report of what loaded. QuickBooks trial balances are checked against yours, to the penny.
- 4
Roll back if it isn’t right
Any import run can be rolled back. QuickBooks reversals are dated to the entries they reverse, so past periods stay true.
What comes across.
From AppFolio.
- Properties and units
- Tenants and leases
- Charges and balances
- Insurance certificates
- Rental applications
- Past tenancies, so every unit’s history is complete
From QuickBooks.
- Your journal history, as balanced entries in the general ledger
- QuickBooks classes, mapped to your properties
- A trial-balance check that matches to the penny
Bring your lease files, too.
Upload lease PDFs and A4 reads the key terms, each linked to the page it came from, for you to review and apply.
